'100 Women' is a local history project established by HERSTORY.YORK, which aims to celebrate the life of one hundred inspirational women who, from 1918 to 2018, have helped to shape the city of York.

To coincide with International Women's Day 2022, Good Organisation has worked in partnership with the project to create a free audio trail showcasing a small selection of those notable individuals. They range from the suffragettes who campaigned for women's voting rights through to Rachael Maskell, York's current Member of Parliament and the first woman to be elected to represent the city.

The tour itself, is narrated by another inspirational women, Vicki MacPhail (who runs our Story Of Guy Fawkes tour) and can be undertaken independently by downloading the map below and clicking on the accompanying audio files at each location to hear the story unfold.
